Two specialists -- one medical doctor and one software professional developed the concept of daER™. Steve Dodgen is a software engineer from Silicon Valley and Paul Marchand, M.D. is an exceptionally skilled emergency medical doctor who wanted to improve collections via more accurate insurance billing and have more time with his emergency room patients. The two of them combined their expertise and developed daER™ ...charting in a heartbeat.™

In concert with any PDA utilizing the PalmOS™ operating system, the software was created to specifically meet the needs of an emergency room physician. But we haven't stopped there! Other areas are being developed and needs being met for related medical fields.

Digital Assist’s flagship product, daER™, which addresses front-end emergency room medical charting, has been installed in hospitals in Florida, Pennsylvania, and Texas and is currently undergoing a pilot test with a major DOD customer.
